Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi have been spending time with their families before the 2019-20 season gets underway. 
Messi is making the most of the limited time available to him after Argentina's Copa America campaign ended in semi-final defeat by Brazil. 
The five-time Ballon d'Or winner has been posting family pictures on his Instagram account after being granted extra time to recuperate from an extended season.

Meanwhile, Ronaldo - who also has five Ballon d'Or trophies to his name - enjoyed a picturesque rooftop dinner in Turin with loved ones after a testing day of pre-season training with Juventus. 
Ronaldo and his girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez are shown balancing children Alana Martina, Eva and Mateo on their knees at the dinner table. 
The Instagram caption reads: 'How great it is to arrive at home after a day of hard work and be with my lovely family'.
